The number of competitors for the 2009 CleanTools Legend Cup Award went from twenty to six to one, and by the time it hit one, only the 1946 Chevy Pickup “Ballistic” remained. As the seven-year project of Gene and Earlene Elpers of Evansville, Indiana, there was a lot of work and effort put into the custom truck, which ultimately culminated in a $5000 cash prize and a trophy that stands over 5 ft tall.
